TEAM NOVA EFFICIENTLY ADAPTED TO CHANGING NEEDS: CHALLENGING LOGISTICS AND DEMANDING SPACE REQUIREMENT

Modular Furniture and Furnishings Project: Significant and necessary changes were made during installation.

Juba, Southern Sudan: Nova International completed the delivery and installation of an innovative modular furniture system for USAID Juba. To accomplish this installation, senior installer, Mitch Ryan located, hired and transported three installers from Khartoum, in central Sudan, who had been trained during a similar Nova installation project for USAID in late 2007. The Nova team managed the furniture shipping and logistics until its final arrival in Juba. The USAID Plan called for the furniture to be installed in two locations to accommodate 52 employees. However, between the time that the order was shipped and its arrival in Juba, USAID found that it needed to accommodate more employees in less space. Because Nova was able to modify the plan, now USAID furniture accommodates many more employees. Nova’s skilled team was able to meet the new requirements using the product on hand. With a flexible and creative approach to installations, meeting challenges and solving problems are all in a day’s work for the Nova Team.
