African Development Bank Headquarters

Tunis, Tunisia

August, 2007

Following the recent renovations of its regional offices throughout Africa, the African Development Bank gave its headquarters in Tunis, Tunisia the same treatment in August 2007. As part of its overall packaged office renovation project, ADB contracted with Teknion and Nova International to provide its HQ with over 130 new modular workstations for a fresh new professional corporate look throughout its two main buildings in downtown Tunis.

Managing the delivery and installation contract for Teknion, Nova project managers arrived in Tunis and inventoried all deliverables, totally over 130 workstations with task seating, several conference rooms, over 30 private office suites and many supporting casegoods. Despite obstacles such as a restrictive truck delivery laws for downtown Tunis, Nova maintained a strict delivery schedule and staged product within the ADB HQ buildings.

As requirements and configurations changed, Nova project managers were able to draw up new floorplans at-site on laptops and get immediate approval from ADB personnel. The new plans were then put into action by installation teams.

Over the course of two weeks, Nova managed to install and reconfigure all delivered product according to the customer's preferences.
